Decking Category Manager (Sales) – North America

Accsys operates with a small but growing US sales team.  This new role is being established amongst a wider team expansion from the current level, as Accsys targets significant growth ahead of a possible Accoya USA production plant.

Accoya is sold through traditional channels to millwork and siding. The business wants to evolve sale of decking with a distinct program to establish the category in our product range and the market. The Decking Category Manager will lead this effort, working closely with the North American Sales team, the market and equally, colleagues across the European business in bringing the product to a successful position and to transfer the decking model developed in North America to wider markets.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

1 Develop a business plan for a defined Accoya decking product offer encompassing product, marketing and sales plan
2 Responsible for delivering the sales plan and engaging the wider North American sales team and marketing colleagues towards the same objective.
3 Direct and indirect customer relationships in the decking Category
4 Be the decking product category expert within Accsys. Inclusive of product, product range and market (to include market research management where necessary)
5 Work in a matrix organisation to lead extension of the program from North America to UK, mainland Europe and ANZ.
6 Develop training materials
7 Work with global project team in shaping product development program.

 

Qualifications, Experience and Key Competencies:

1 Strong track record in the value-added wood or composite decking Category
2 Fluency in spoken and written English.  Capability in Spanish is of benefit.
3 Reliable, hardworking, and hands on mentality. Driven, collaborative and innovative in work style to resolve issues arising and identify new, tangible opportunities for growth.
4 Able to operate independently in carrying out an agreed plan which involves fostering engagement from market stake holders and managing some ambiguity in areas outside our direct control.
5 Proficient in Office 365, particularly Power Point and Excel. Experience with CRM is particularly advantageous.
6 A skilled team builder that uses positive influence to pull together company and customer assets in a way the enhances product volume and profit growth.

Location Currently home based
Appointment Full time
Travel and car 30 to 50% travel in NA depending on the individual. Occasional longer overseas trips may be required.
