ERP Systems Manager

Reporting to the Group Applications Manager, the ERP Systems Manager will be responsible for managing all SAP Business One and Dynamics 365 systems and their operation.

They will be responsible for providing high quality business-focused support along with a strong ability to design and manage system functional operations, projects and workstreams covering differing business and functional elements.  This position provides exposure to a broad range of IT related technologies and activities covering (currently) operations in the UK, EU & the US.

The ERP Systems Manager must forge strong relationships with internal business stakeholders, ensuring business requirements are translated into IT deliverables and capabilities to improve and maintain Accsys ERP platforms, integrations and associated systems – working alongside internal resources, external support organisations and systems integrators.

The successful candidate will ideally have a strong technical, manufacturing or industrial background in an international environment, understanding the importance of ERP and how SAP & ERP Systems utilisation can be improved through the utilisation of modern agile systems deployments, cloud platforms and  advanced analytics to support business growth through greater integration & visibility into all areas of operations.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities include:

  • Be the subject matter expert for SAP Business One
  • Manage SAP and Dynamics 365 environments
  • ERP systems patch management, upgrades and service improvements
  • Manage relationships, support & project deliverables with external systems support organisations
  • Management of system maintenance, changes and enhancements
  • Analyse & identify business functionality requirements & translate these into project definitions and workstreams
  • Provide SAP Business One basis support and monitor system health
  • Forward planning and strategic design of ERP platforms aligned to business strategy and direction
  • Design, manage and maintain integrations with external systems & devices (barcode scanners etc)
  • Continuous service improvement analysing & evolving infrastructure and ERP system environments
  • Writing customized programs and scripts, as well as configuring ERP applications
  • Specification and deployment of functionalities, interfaces and supporting documentation
  • Managing ERP software & platforms and ensuring seamless integration with other IT systems
  • Migration of legacy data extracts to data analytics and business intelligence platforms for business and industrial processes
  • Build & maintain BI dashboards & tabular reports
  • Performing diagnostic tests and resolving issues to optimize performance
  • Providing technical support and training ERP end-users

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or similar preferred/relevant workplace experience.
  • SAP Certified
  • At least 4 years’ experience as an SAP B1 ERP specialist with at least 6 years’ experience of supporting and managing an ERP platform
  • Experience with migrations to HANA
  • Significant Microsoft SQL server experience
  • Extensive SAP Basis administration
  • In-depth knowledge of ERP development tools, coding languages, and business processes
  • Great organizational and time management skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal, collaboration, and communication abilities
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of Data warehousing / Business Intelligence / Data Architecture / Data management

  • Experience of system upgrades & cloud migration – SaaS, PaaS & managed service
  • A background in business administration, project management, or a related field will be advantageous.
  • Good scripting skills
  • Understanding of finance systems, supply chain management, sales & CRM
  • Experience of MES platforms
  • Experience of manufacturing, Industrial IT and Industry 4.0
  • Microsoft Azure cloud technologies
  • Data analytics and insights – data warehouse, BI & dashboards
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 – Sales & CRM
