Your role
Safety is your highest priority and together with our Process Safety Engineers you will make sure the designs meet all regulatory requirements. During the engineering and realization phase you constantly ask yourself the question if all safety risks have been mitigated properly. You should speak up and stop work if safety is at risk.
You will translate business needs and requirements into new designs or modifications on existing designs. Therefore, you will take ownership of conceptual designs like PFD’s P&ID’s, engineering designs or procurement specifications. Under the guidance of a Project Manager or Project Engineer you will take a leading role in the preparation of the commissioning, and you will be a key player in the HAZOP teams.
By nature you should be structured but recognize the need for flexibility in a dynamic situation. You should be a team player but also be able to work autonomously. You should be able to establish connections with people easily.
You will report to the Group Head of Engineering.
Your profile
- You have a Master or bachelor degree chemical engineering or process engineering
- You bring at least 5-year experience in chemical engineering.
- You are a strong communicator and a team player.
- You are analytic and solution oriented
- You work systematically: Plan-Do-Check-Act
- You feel at home in an informal setting with ambitious professionals.
- You are a good communicator in English and Dutch or willing to learn Dutch.
