Accoya wood growth, with expanded manufacturing partnerships and flagship project applications
Accoya USA, the U.S. manufacturer of high-performance and sustainable Accoya wood, today announces continued strong momentum in North America, with Accoya sales increasing by 60% year-over-year as demand continues to strengthen across residential, public and commercial applications.
This growth has primarily been driven by Accoya’s established distribution partners following the opening of Accoya USA, the first Accoya production facility in the U.S., in September 2024. This has been supported by the addition of an expanding network of partners as well as investment in architectural outreach, customer engagement and market development to help improve access to product information and technical support. All of which is supporting adoption across siding, decking, millwork and landscape applications.
Growing adoption among premium manufacturers reflects increasing confidence in Accoya’s performance advantages. Brands such as Lepage Millwork, Marvin and TruStile are incorporating Accoya into high-performance window, door and exterior systems where durability, stability and long-term reliability are critical.
This growing momentum is reflected in an increasing number of residential and commercial projects where architects, designers and manufacturers are selecting Accoya for its proven performance, sustainability benefits and long-term reliability.
Recent high-profile projects include:
- The Edelman Fossil Museum in New Jersey, featuring Accoya siding created by RESAWN TIMBER CO.
- Bow Bridge and Gothic Bridge restoration in New York’s Central Park, with Accoya decking supplied by Rex Lumber
- The Range food hall in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, with Accoya Barnwood siding supplied by Delta Millworks
These projects underline the growing confidence among architects and designers in specifying Accoya.
“North America is an exciting growth market for Accoya, driven by the commitment of our distribution partners, expanding customer relationships and increasing architectural adoption,” commented Sergio Munhoz, North America Sales Director. “We continue to invest in strengthening the customer journey, supporting specification and expanding awareness of Accoya’s performance advantages, while local manufacturing helps us respond to growing demand and support our partners’ success.”
Manufactured using proprietary acetylation technology, Accoya wood is permanently modified to deliver exceptional durability, dimensional stability, and resistance to moisture and biological degradation. With an industry-leading warranty of up to 50 years above ground, Accoya continues to gain traction among manufacturers and fabricators seeking reliable, high-performance materials for demanding exterior applications.
