Duties:
Responsible for leading the design, development, and oversight of all mechanical systems, including static and rotating equipment, as well as process and utility piping; develop and implement specialized mechanical system designs that enhance operational efficiency, safety, and align with the Company’s standards; apply advanced problem-solving strategies and global engineering practices to ensure the integrity and quality of complex production processes; establish and enforce rigorous quality assurance standards derived from extensive engineering experience; supervise projects to ensure strict compliance with industry norms, Company guidelines, and project-specific requirements; implement comprehensive quality assurance programs, including the establishment of Accoya USA’s Owner’s Inspector and procedures for pressure valve and relief device inspections; utilize experience in mechanical engineering, piping engineering, wood acetylation process, piping stress analysis, plant design, maintenance engineering, operations optimization, quality assurance, continuous improvement, commissioning, project management, and viability studies to perform duties; lead initiatives aimed at enhancing the reliability and continuous improvement of operations and engineering practices; facilitate collaboration across various departments to ensure cohesive project execution and alignment with operational needs; manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables to optimize efficiency and success; oversee the installation and maintenance of specialized equipment, ensuring adherence to stringent safety and quality standards; manage the creation and maintenance of piping as-built documentation and implement advanced engineering document management systems; and lead the development and standardization of engineering documentation, including detailed design justification reports and technical specifications.

Salary: $112,000 per year;
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);
Experience: None;
Will accept two (2) years in the position above, as a Mechanical Engineer, as a Piping Engineer, or in a related occupation in lieu of the primary education and experience requirements.
Other Requirements: Academic and/or work experience must include any use of all the following: mechanical engineering, piping engineering, wood acetylation process, piping stress analysis, plant design, maintenance engineering, operations optimization, quality assurance, continuous improvement, commissioning, project management, and viability studies.
