When did you join Accsys?

September 2017

What did you do before Accsys? 

I spent the 13years prior to joining Accsys in the timber industry in the UK in marketing and business development roles.

What made you want to work for Accsys? 

Previously I had worked with Accoya in 2007 when it was first launched. I always loved the product, it’s performance and sustainability credentials and knew some of the team.  It was a great opportunity to work in a rapidly growing business.

What might a typical work day or week look like for you? 

No week looks the same for me! That’s part of the fun. My teams are based in Arnhem and the US in addition to close colleagues in the UK and Central Europe. I travel regularly to support the execution of our sales growth plans. On the day to day we are focussed on delivering the product to our customers on time and in full.  This involves close coordination with supply chain, production and my customer service team.  Over the month I work in partnership with our distributors on topics such as forecasting, special order requests, and my team takes the lead on the commercialisation of any new products we introduce into our markets.

What do you most enjoy about being part of Accsys?

We make a fantastic product that we are all really proud of. Our customers take it from us and produce an enormous range of inspirational products across the world from cutting edge sustainable buildings, luxurious pool decks, and even the humble front door get the VIP treatment.

What are you most proud of since joining?

In 2020 I project managed the commercialisation of our Accoya Color grey product from our lab onwards into the market.  After the initial launch in central Europe we are now selling globally. It involved a huge effort from colleagues and customers alike to achieve this success and I love working with them all on it.

What’s the secret to success at Accsys?

Stay focussed, be open to change, and try to enjoy yourself!
