Accsys is bolstering its sales and marketing team in France to support the growth in demand for Accoya wood.
Demand for Accoya is growing in France as customers recognise the benefits of Accoya’s high performance, stability and durability. Accoya is a long lasting and sustainable choice for decking, cladding and external joinery. With a 50 year above ground and 25 year in ground and freshwater warranty, it is ideal for many applications across France’s different climates – from Alpine through to Atlantic beachside.
The recent addition of Accoya Color Grey has further driven demand. A surface-to-core coloured grey Accoya product that is a durable and low maintenance solution for decking and cladding.
Laurent Valensi joins Accsys as Sales Manager, France and Clemence Guilloteau has joined as marketing coordinator, France. They will be supported by the existing Heads of Sales and Marketing for the region. Laurent brings with him close to two decades of experience in the wood industry with extensive sales experience and can speak five languages. Clemence joins from Decathlon where she worked as a merchandiser.
The team will focus on developing The Accoya Approved Manufacturer Programme in France as well as working on an Approved Installer Programme. The latter is a new program in partnership with Grad, that has been set up specifically for the French market. This program will enable wood installers to promote Accoya with a hidden fastening system as the best solution for ultra-performing and long lasting decking and cladding.
Laurent Valensi, Sales Manager, France, Accsys commented: “The demand for high performance and sustainable building products is growing and Accoya wood delivers on both properties. I’m excited about strenghtening our relationships with French distributors and manufacturers as well as building new relationships. It’s the ideal product for a wide range of outdoor applications. Accoya Color presents a particularly exciting opportunity for decking, as its low maintenance and durability make it ideal for sun and alpine terraces, swimming pool surrounds and walkways.”
Laura Keily, Group Head of Marketing commented: “France is, as yet, a relatively untapped market for us with huge potential. We are already seeing a lot of interest in both Accoya and Accoya Color and having Laurent and Clemence on board will help ensure we can maximise opportunities and bring the benefits of Accoya to a much wider customer base.”
Accoya has been featured in many high profile building projects in France in recent years, including the Science Museum, Paris, the Maisani residence in Corsica and the state of the art office complex, Black in Clichy-La-Garenne.
