- Key member of Accoya NL team, responsible for procurement at our main manufacturing site in Arnhem
- An important position, leading a new procurement team
- Job is a mix of strategic procurement, operational buying and supplier management
- Focus on delivering an excellent procurement service to the business to ensure the plant operates successfully
- Exciting opportunity in ‘greenfield state’ – an opportunity to assess the current state and lead the procurement team to a new future state
- Suppliers include industrial equipment and services providers, indirect suppliers, and maintenance spare providers
- Responsibility for x3 direct reports in a new team
Duration: Full time employee
Location: Arnhem, office based (5 days a week based on a 40hr contract or 4 days a week based on a 32hr contract)
Travel: Travel to visit suppliers will be part of the job. Travel to other Accsys sites may be required, although this would be on an ad-hoc basis.
Reports to: Accoya NL Managing Director, dotted line to Accsys Head of Procurement
Direct reports: x1 spares & maintenance buyer, x2 reception team members (services + indirect buyers)
Key Responsibilities
- A new role – so procurement manager can propose and implement own objectives, initial set to work on as follows:
- Exercise visual safety leadership
- Complete on-site safety walks
- Proactively raise safety observation cards
- Additional key results as identified by Procurement Manager
- Improve efficiency of the procurement process and develop and Arnhem ‘centre of excellence’ for procurement
- Carry out a current state + future state assessment
- Improve procurement process (liaising and improving with Accsys group process), centralise activities where appropriate
- Pareto of spend analysis – identify cost / spend reduction opportunities + top risks
- Deliver cost / spend reduction
- Delivery of risk mitigation initiatives
- Establish supplier and contract management. Establish KPIs for monitoring supplier performance + scorecard reviews with critical suppliers
- Support role out of new finance/procurement IT system
- Additional key results as identified by Procurement Manager
- Support operation
- Develop and implement a spare parts procurement category strategy (including consignment) + process
- Over 80% on time RFP / contract delivery in procurement tracker
- On time and budget delivery of procurement activity to support maintenance shutdowns in FY 22/23

- Support expansion projects
- Lead Arnhem capex procurement activity – nitrogen, other capex modification work – following Accsys Project Management process
- Support other Arnhem led engineering expansion work for international locations as required – following Accsys Project Management process
- Develop team and contribute to site leadership
- Develop and manage team of x3 direct reports
- Attend and participate in Arnhem leadership team meetings as required

- Qualifications
- Relevant qualification or similar preferred/relevant workplace experience.
- Knowledge & Experience
- 5+ years’ experience working in a procurement, supply chain or commercial role
- Industrial manufacturing experience / supplier management desirable
- Team management experience desirable or enthusiasm to take on challenge
